Shut not your doors to me proud libraries,
For that which was lacking on all your well-fill'd shelves, yet needed most, I bring.

Access to reference material, textbooks, and the practical knowledge and wisdom of others is something sorely lacking on the Internet, unless you are willing to pay exorbitant fees. The Library at Rogue Science is operated by some of the same principles as public libraries, borrow whatever material you want, free of charge. Unlike the public library, the Rogue Science Library does not require a library card, or keep track of patron records.

Few of the online materials presented here are actually hosted by Rogue Science for copyright reasons. There are a handful of enterprising websites that choose to make available quality information, free of charge, for consumption by the general public in locals free from the oppression of criminal copywrong laws. The Rogue Science Library is intended to collect a specific cross section of materials related to chemistry and the sciences. The books, journal articles, patents, encyclopedias, and other content available at the Library are related in some fashion to the types of chemistry dealt with on the Rogue Science website.

The how-to section of the Library presents a few well written and detailed methods of building or accomplishing something of interest to visitors of Rogue Science. These guides, written by myself, and contributed by guest authors, are not necessarily scientific in nature, but are interesting nonetheless.

The most important area of the Library is the content written and submitted by guest authors. These scientific procedures, chemical syntheses, laboratory techniques, and other miscellaneous technical writings are proudly featured here. The longevity of the Rogue Science website guarantees a long term and stable home for your technical works instead of you going through the trouble to build and establish your own website. If you have valuable scientific or technical information that you feel would be a good fit at Rogue Science, please consider submitting that information for inclusion in the Library.

Rounding out the reference stacks, nestled in a comfortable corner of the Library are a few of my own philosophical and political ponderings. If you care to learn what makes this place tick, why I created Rogue Science, and a little more about your humble narrator, check it out. I do so love to talk incessantly about things that interest me.

Shut not your doors to me proud libraries,
For that which was lacking on all your well-fill'd shelves, yet needed most, I bring,
Forth from the war emerging, a book I have made,
The words of my book nothing, the drift of it every thing,
A book separate, not link'd with the rest nor felt by the intellect,
But you ye untold latencies will thrill to every page.
From the poem Shut Not Your Doors by Walt Whitman.

Chemistry Books

An hour in the library can save you several hours in the lab. I strive to collect the most important works of chemical literature and present them free of charge for all to learn the great mysteries of chemistry.

How-To Guides

There are many wonderful things to learn young grasshopper, not necessarily chemistry related.

Philosophical Meanderings

I have a brain, I even use it sometimes, and some people even like to listen to what I have to say. Gather around my friends as I orate from my soapbox.

Guest Submitted Content

Some people have good information that fits in well with Rogue Science, and want to present it to the world on a venerable and popular website without the hassle of establishing their own. I am proud to feature the works of other dedicated scientists like myself and give the material the honored position it deserves.
